Born 1936 in Korea.

1970 started the series Relatum.

1971 he represented Korea at the 7th Biennale in Paris.

1973 started the series From Points and From Lines.

1986 became professor at the Tama Art University in Tokyo.

1991 started the series Correspondence.

1997 visiting professor at the Ecole National Supérieure de Beaux-Arts (Paris).

2001 Won the Praemium Imperiale award.
